Viktor

Viktor began writing Dream in Colour in 2009 and its release marks the return of an artist who originally established himself on the London Electro club scene in 2003. His avant-garde performances and sound gained a loyal following and Viktor made his mark for being elusive, unpredictable and truly underground. The buzz spread across Europe and the US, where he received rave reviews from critics, with New York’s Time Out magazine pronouncing him  ‘The Crown Prince of UK Electronic Pop’.

The new EP is the fruit of three year’s labour, and for Viktor it was a labour of love and a journey that took him across Europe, writing and recording with his old friend and collaborator, Tom Drew. A classically trained and erstwhile rock musician, Tom was the key that unlocked Viktor’s incredible new sound, combining Viktor’s dance roots with a sense of classic pop songwriting. Citing Marc Almond, The Pet Shop Boys and even Liza Minnelli as influences, Viktor set about recording an album that is as much a homage to old-school pop as it is a crossing of boundaries and a mixing of this genre with his earlier, synth-laden sounds.

Viktor is a pop artist who must be seen as well as heard.  Prepare to be mesmerised and massively entertained
